Judgement Week continues on America’s Got Talent 2014 as our Top 48 on AGT 2014 fight for the million dollar prize. AGT Season 9 will treat us to more performances tonight as well as some much-anticipated results. Who will move on to those coveted spots on AGT 2014? Join us and the AGT judges 2014 Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B, as we see who moves on and who was eliminated during our live recap of the show.

America's Got Talent - Season 9

After AGT Season 9 auditions ended, Nick Cannon and the gang set up shop in New York where the top acts were divided into categories to perform for the AGT judges 2014. The magic acts didn’t go over too well. Psycho Jack was even sent home! The salsa dancers were the best in their category and were sent on through to be in the Top 48 on AGT. The kid singers  all sounded good, with Mara Justine‘s rendition of a Whitney Houston song earning her a pass to Radio City Music Hall! The comedians were okay but not necessarily as good as their earlier performances on America’s Got Talent 2014. I did learn that Heidi Klum has no sense of humor. Does she think anyone is funny? The solo acts are all a little bizarre and not too exciting. And except for Anna Clendening‘s emotional breakdown, the gal singers performed well.

Some of the acts on America’s Got Talent 2014 were so awesome they were sent straight through to the live shows. Check out these AGT Season 9 results, and join us tonight for more performances on AGT 2014, along with more results!

High winds and interrupted cable hit my area today. I’m live now, so let’s see if we can get up to speed! The AGT 2014 judges are supposed to cut the top 48 on AGT in half tonight, so let’s see what’s been happening.

KIDS ACTS:

Nine-year-old Adrian Romoff played the piano again. Sure, he’s good, but is he good enough for a million dollars? It bothers Howie that he’s performing instead of being a kid. Howard Stern disagrees with him.

Byamba’s Contortion Girls are up next, twisting and  turning their bodies all over the stage into little mermaids. Is it just me, or are the variety acts just not that exciting this season?

Kacey and Gabe get their dance groove on, albeit a bit off. Their excuse–lack of rehearsal time. Okay, we’ll see if that excuse flies.

Carter and Anika dance, too, while Adrian negatively critiques them. Yeah, they don’t do too great, but that’s not cool, dude.

MUSIC GROUPS:

The Willis Clan, complete with twelve kids, are up. Yeah, they’re good, but are they good enough?

Beach Avenue is up next. I’ve been impressed with them, and they put on a good performance. What is it with Howie complaining about bands with original songs?

Kieran and Finian Makepeace make it to the stage next. They do well, but they sing an original, which might not bode well with Howie.

So Jonah Smith is supposed to be up, but the drummer is a no-show. What’s up? So we move on to Sons of Serendip. What great harmony, as they sing Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” The judges seem to enjoy it.

Then we have the unique, acoustic sound of Livy, Matt, and Sammy singing “Hey Ya.” I think they have a pretty cool sound, but I’m not sure the AGT 2014 judges think enough of them to send them through. We’ll see.

Jonah Smith found a friend to sit in on the drum stool, so here we go. That drummer is all over it and gets them through a cool, rocking song. Howard Stern said the voice on the song was “exceptional,” and all the bands were strong.

VARIETY ACTS:

Howard and Howie laugh at Dustin’s Dojo swinging bats at fruit and knocking each other (well, at least Dojo) out. How did these guys make it with their ridiculous act? I agree with Heidi and Mel B. on this one. Shameful, guys.

Now it’s the 70-some year old dude, Bob Markworth, with his young assistant, Mayana, shooting darts at cards. I’m not sure what they’re trying to do–split the card in half? The judges aren’t sure either.

So the pig that Heidi kissed is back. Mudslinger is doing some math this time, picking the correct cups with the answers. He did pretty well until 2 + 3. I guess higher math isn’t Mudslinger’s thing.

The next variety act is Emmanuel and Phillip Hudson, dressed in black robes, preaching all churchy-like stuff. Howard looks bored. All the judges are disappointed. The variety acts just haven’t been good, says Mel B.

Flight Crew Jump Rope are next. Yeah, they’re pretty good, but I’m not sure I’d buy a ticket in Vegas to watch them for more than five minutes. Howard enjoyed it.

MALE SINGERS:

Older by far than the other acts, Frank Dimitri is thankful he finally made it this far. “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” he sings, and does pretty darn well.

18-year-old Jaycob Curlee is nervous as he plays acoustic guitar and sings “Free Falling.” I love his voice! It’s sweet and unique, I think. Mama cries on the sidelines, proud of the abandoned boy that she adopted many years ago. Mel B. thinks he has a “distinctive sound,” but Howard said he seemed really nervous. I disagree, Howard.

Justin Rhodes, who made his dad cry in auditions, is up next to play the piano and sing “I’m Only Human.” I really like his voice (and I love piano!), but is he good enough to move on? The judges don’t feel the performance is as good as before, but maybe they’ll consider his first performance, says Howie.

Sal Gonzales (the vet who lost his leg) sings “Simple Kind of Man.” I do like his sound. He’s nervous, too, as everyone seems to be without the crowd. Heidi “didn’t love it.” The judges are disappointed that the last three guys haven’t been very good. Nerves?

The AGT 2014 judges stood up for Miguel Dakota last time, but will nerves get to him, too? Howie doesn’t like the song, but feel Miguel ha something to give.

Paul Ieti, a U.S. soldier, seems pretty confident as he sings “Bless the Broken Road.” I don’t expect that soft, sweet voice coming out of him. I thought it was great. Judges? The gals seemed to think so.

Time for some AGT Season 9 results. Paul is brought out, so which way will the judges go with him? Yes! They want him to go through. I love how supportive the other singers are backstage. Paul then calls his ecstatic mother to tell her he made it!

DANCE GROUPS:

Bad Boys of Ballet shows great timing with its six guys and one gal who keeps them in line. Howie liked it; Howard didn’t. Of rourse those two have to disagree.

Baila Conmigo, the salsa dancers, know they need a perfect performance. It looked pretty good, but there were mistakes. They don’t thrill me.

Tic & Tac Entertainment bring it on next with their gymnastics type of dance. Heidi likes them, but I thought it was totally boring.

Jasmine Flowers is next, looking gorgeous all in red. Those red fans moving in unison are pretty cool.  As far as dance acts go, they seem to be near the top.

The AGT 2014 make it all dramatic by calling out the salsa group, even though they made mistakes, and sending them through to Radio City Music Hall.

ACROBATICS/STUNTS:

AcroArmy come out with some pretty amazing gymnastics–some scary jumps. The group is happy about how they did, and they have even more dangerous routines. The judges seem to have liked it.

XPogo Stunt Team are all over the place with their pogo stick. One’ even on fire, but it quickly goes out. Well, the act just looks like it might be fun to do, but performance-wise? Not so much, in my opinion.

Richard & Ashlee are planning their wedding in three years, since they can’t afford it. Would a million bucks help? They do ballet, but take it to the extreme with their stunts. Oops! Richard drops Ashlee. Ashlee is teary-eyed. Too bad.

Christian Stoinev is a hand balancer. He can balance on one just finger–amazing. He ha a little surprise this time, a little dog comes out of his bag to be part of his act. He runs all over Christian as he rolls across the stage. The dog even gets on his feet to be balanced up in the air before going back into the box. Aw, his name is Scooby. He’s eleven, and Christian gets teary-eyed when talking about how he loves performing with his dog. The judges like that he did something totally unexpected.

Time for the AGT 2014 judges’ decisions as to who will go to Radio City Music Hall on America’s Got Talent! They battle it out, trying to make their decisions, as the contestants sit and wait.
